My Japanese preacher used this book in our classes and it was every excellent choice. It can easily be used for self-study, especially granting that used with the CDs. Each rebuke starts out with a dialog and is followed through a vocabulary list, grammar explanations, and glossary/grammar practice. The grammar is explained highly clearly and the practice exercises are same useful for remembering what is actuality taught. One drawback: no answers are given. The list of words lists are not always comprehensive further they give lots of useful list of words. Several topics are covered including shopping, talking on the eve family, travel, daily routines, and freedom from disease. The book also includes lessons in c~tinuance Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji.
